How do you become a health insurance agent?

My wife is interested in selling health insurance. What does she need to do in order to do this? Like licensing, buying a franchise, ect… ?

   She can either become a broker or work for an insurance company. Either way, she needs a life agent license. There are classes she can take and then she would take a state exam. The classes are fairly short (no college needed). If she wants to become a broker, she can do so through a company such as NY Life for example. Chances are, she’d be able to work from home.
