rain shower asked: I live in New York but also rent an apartment in Connecticut. I am not a signatory on the lease (I rent a room in a friend’s apartment), but sometimes stay there for work. The premiums for health insurance are much lower in Connecticut than they are in New York, and I was wondering if I could sign up for health insurance there. I know I would only be covered in Connecticut. Is this something I could do and if so, what kind of documentation would I need to provide to prove my Connecticut residency? Thanks
Jill

JLLHokieLavaDog*isaRETARDhahaLOL asked: Hi, I have never bought health insurance before, and I would like to know how I could find out if a particular health insurance provider would cover the costs of me going to a dermatologist and getting Accutane. Can anyone help me?

Mark asked: I am considering working for them as a contractor (or temporary) and I am concerned about health insurance as compared to my full-time job. Anyone with experience with this?
Mark G.–I don’t see the link. Can you email it to me? (Click on my profile to send it to me.) Thanks.
Mark G.–I see the link now, but it’s very generic. I don’t know if I got the whole URL or not. The page I get is a list of links about health insurance, but not about Manpower’s health coverage.

montcoguy0o asked: Keep in mind, your health insurance premiums can’t be deducted if they’re taken out of your paycheck as pre-tax dollars. However, after-tax health insurance premiums are deductible, but they still are subject to a limitation of 7.5% of your AGI. If you’re self-employed, you may deduct a portion of your health insurance premiums as an adjustment. The self-employed deductible portion is 100% in 2007.

kokotxa asked: Is there a government health insurance for every employee in the UK? How much do you pay per year? Is it deducted from your paycheck?
Can you get additional health insurance? Are vision and dental usually included as a benefit from your employer?
I am moving to the UK and would like to know a bit more about what to expect. Thank you!
Debbie

BabyQuestions asked: What’s the difference between Long Term Health Insurance and Long Term Life Insurance? I want to make sure my parents are probably covered as they are now in their 50’s. The goal is to get them covered for in house nursing care instead of a nursing home.

phiteco2000 asked: I’m a 27 year old male in perfect health and I was wondering how much I can expect to pay for health insurance for an independent plan. I’m planning to start my own business and considering how much health insurance is a major consideration. Even a ballpark number would help for my calculations.
Thanks!
